Western Horoscope and the Chinese Seasonal Segments (24

The Western Astrology, the Zodiac or the Constellations are divided into twelve signs, each occupying approx. 30° of celestial longitude.

The Constellations are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces.
This 12 signs form a celestial coordinate system, or more specifically an ecliptic coordinate system, which takes the ecliptic as the origin of latitude and the Sun’s position at vernal equinox as the origin of longitude.

Meaning, where the sun is, this is Constellation of reference. In other words, if the sun is at Aquarius, in the night sky (opposite to where the sun position) we could see Constellations like Cancer and Gemini as well as Orion.

Reference it to the chinese system, each Constellation span across 1 Jie Qi (節氣). Each Jie Qi (節氣) span around 30.4 days. This info is then place on the LuoPan (羅庚), each Jie Qi (節氣) taking 15 degree position, aligning to the 24 mountain for 太阳到山盤 application for auspicious date.

Both the Western and Chinese system in this aspect shares some similarities of using the sun as an object of reference to read the energy for each celestial block.

Feng Shui – The Next Discipline in Risk Management

Risk management is the process of identifying, analyzing and controlling possible threats that weakens a firm’s capital and/or earnings. Potential risk or threats could include a wide variety of sources (i.e. financial uncertainty, legal liabilities, strategic management errors, accidents and natural disasters).

Risk Management Processes:

1. Risk Identification – Identifying potential risks that may negatively influence the firm.

2. Risk analysis – After the specific types of risk is identified, the firm then determines the odds and frequency of occurences and its consequences.

3. Risk mitigation – Firm then develop plans, such as risk mitigation processes, risk prevention and / or contingency plans in the risk event comes to fruition.

4. Risk monitoring – A follow up plans to close the loop and to continuously review, monitor and track new and existing risks.

Now let’s, look at Feng Shui. . .

In a consultation, this normally broken down into 2 aspect. Namely, the destiny chart analysis and the house audit. In some cases, divination might be use hand in hand.

In the destiny chart analysis, I would attempt to identify the strength and weakness of the BAZI chart. With that, I then proceed to analyze the luck cycle relative to the BAZI chart; determining the headwinds and tailwinds of the current luck cycle. Analysing 5 years back and seek verification from the chart owner, at this point if the analysis is approximate, I will proceed to analyze 5 years forward. Hence, derive the odds of occurrence.

Depending on the opportunity and threat, i proceed to work out some mitigation plans and suggestions. For example a chart owner with favourable tailwinds is to acquire the network and pool together resources to achieve his /her wealth. And, for a less favourable chart which is full of headwinds, he / she could spend the effort to acquire the necessary skills set or seek job stability or pay attention to health and safety for certain years. It all about Yin Yang (陰陽).

In a house audit or a Feng Shui assessment, the main aim is to evaluate and point out which area if the house has an optimal Qi (氣) flow and use it. For example, In the destiny chart analysis I point out to learn a skills or to seek academic achievement, then in the Feng Shui assessment I would be looking for the academic star (文曲星) and make use of it. Nonetheless (honestly speaking) there are home with such auspicious star but the layout or external landform doesn’t promote the use. I’ll be frank about it and seek the next alternative to activate it. Similarly for Inauspicious Stars or sectors with hostile external landform, I’ll also highlight as risk factors and the particular years to take note as each year the TaiSui (太歲) and flying star changes.

Other tools I use; to enhance and assists includes space cleansing, date selection and divination tool such as QMDJ and MHYS. QMDJ in particular incorporates the aspect of 4 realms (天地人神) which assist the asker to derive at a decision. It also demands a lot from the practitioner using this tool.

Lastly, to close the loop, a follow up after 3 to 6 months as part of the review and monitoring process is a necessity. It also my personal commitment and a level of professionalism.

With history and lineage becoming into a robust system, with processes in place to carry out assessment both on the personal and environment level. Feng Shui is Qualitative Risk Management” – A tool to control the variables we could; and manage those aspect we can’t.

(Feng Shui: Highlighting the Inauspicious Sector of Northeast and Southwest Facing Apartment)

(Feng Shui: Highlighting the Auspicious Sector for North Facing Apartment)

(Annual Flying Stars)

Will This Boy Be Successful (FiveArts)

http://fivearts.org/index.php?topic=118.msg652#msg652

2017 was a good year for him. Should have done well in his studies and advancement.

2018, if planning any trips. avoid April, July, Oct and Jan. Reason to justify for so, is wu earth in the annual could post danger to geng metal. also, he is born in year of dragon, there is a clash with tai sui this year. If his bed room is in SE (chen sector). maybe should consider realign the bed.

from the chart, the relationship with both parents as well as siblings and friend are good. this is a people person. able to draw from his social circle for strength, support and ideas. Don’t need to fix career with metaphysics. If you really want to, avoid the need to operate big machine or vehicles. Better to use his intellect and gift of speech. Bing Ding Fire represent a nature leader in him, his idea sells well among people. Strong earth shows a a talent and he is very particular and demanding on himself to gain ahead of the herd. For now, Allow him to do to his interest and strength. His mid 30s and late 40s, he would be doing quite well.

Now that the environment is favorable, in my humble opinion, should allow him to have protected failures or soft landing failures.  My reason is such, his chart has a sign of self punishment. By giving him such experience now, it will help him learn the skills to overcome it in future. especially during his 27 yo luck cycle.

I didn’t go to pick up year by year, you just take note. so long you see Wu or Ji Earth, generally exercise cautious in the things he do or venture into. From my experience, the structure of this chart, may come to a time where in his life, all the good people around him turn bad. (i.e. useful god, turn nasty). To justify, why the need to give him or let him go thru protected failures now. This is the best way to avert the punishment frame in his chart.

Careers by Five Elements based on Four Pillars of Destiny

http://skillon.com/Bazi_FengShui.cfm/topic/’Careers_by_Element’_in_BaZi_Four_Pillars_of_Destiny

Wood-related jobs

The general of Wood is growth is the nature of plants to grow, upwards, towards the light. Since the principles of growth and progress figure prominently in the education field, if you are a teacher, trainer, tutor, coach and the like, involved in helping others grows, upwards, you’re part of the Wood business. Of course, if you’re a SCUBA diving instructor, your job would be a mix of Wood and Water.
Yang Wood (trees) and Yin Wood (grass)
If you are a doctor, by healing the sick and setting the unhealthy onto the road to health, thus paving the way for the patients’ proper growth, medical and healthcare practitioners are in Wood-related careers.

There are the obvious Wood-related industries – those that deal with felling trees and processing them into planks, furniture, paper, publishing industry that runs on paper and so on.

Writing itself create imaginary worlds, also write them down on paper, heck back in the day you might have also used a pencil as your writing tool!.

Please remember many jobs this day and age are no longer simple single-element vocations. For example, a hairdresser would be a Wood-related industry as hair is associated with Wood. however it also “create beauty and make people beautiful” and therefore involves Fire. At the same time, scissors is Metal. So when looking for a suitable career for yourself, it would benefit you to identify the elements involved in a particular position, then determine which element(s) is/are dominant/important, and understand how they correlate to your favourable and unfavourable elements.

Fire-related jobs

Fire represent heat; warmth; illumination; exuberance; beauty.

If you run a restaurant, wait tables in a diner, or are a cafeteria cook, you’re in a Fire industry. In fact, the entire service industry generally falls under the Fire category.

So if you’re manning the make-up counter at a popular outlet, helping people to become a beauty, you’re in a Fire career.

If you deal with computers and electronics — which use electricity, considered to be a form of Fire — then you’re in the Fire business.

If you deal with petrol and other fuels which need to be burned to release and harness their useful energy, sure you’re in a fire-related field.

Among all the five elements, Fire is the “lightest” and go the highest. Therefore by the service element of airplane attendants’ duties, and the amount of fuel needed to fly a plane. As such, if you’re a pilot or airplane attendant, you’re in a Fire-relate career.

Earth-related jobs

Earth can represent: steadfastness, solid dependability, nurturing, trustworthiness.

Pretty much anything that involves physically working with the earth counts:

• Farming
• Pottery makers
• Gardening
• Stone masonry
• Ceramics
• Pottery
• Sculpture
• Marblework

Yang Earth

If you’re in the real estate business, involved in the purchase and sale of land or houses, you’re in the Earth business.

Feng Shui, astrology and Geomancy are also Earth-related fields.

If your business is one that “sells” the feeling of trust or security, as in insurance, this too is Earth-related.

If you deal in antiques, objects that withstand and last through time just as mountains and boulders do, this is also considered an Earth industry.
Yin Earth

Metal-related jobs

The characteristics of Metal: sharp; cutting; sparkling; beautiful; orderly

The actual mining operations are technically Earth-related, the next step of extracting metals from their ores is definitely Metal-related. Therefore, if you’re an industry that produces aluminum, steel, copper, etc, no surprise that you’re in Metal country.
Yang Metal

If you are a goldsmith, a jeweler, or deal in gemstones and diamonds, these are more examples of Metal jobs.

Metal is commonly used to make weapons – swords, daggers, knives, guns; if you produce them, you’re in a Metal-related career. As the users of such weapons, warriors were the enforcers of rule of law back in the day; as such Metal has also come to represent law and order. So if you’re in the legal profession, law enforcement or the military, you’re in a Metal field.

If you collect coins, you’re in a Metal world. And the same field if you’re in finance, stock trading or banking.

Another example of a Metal profession is surgery: after all, surgeons cut into us using sharp Metal scalpels, do they not? However, the medical profession in general, however, is a Wood-related field – can you figure out why?

Water-related jobs

Here you must understand the characteristics of Water which represents intelligence with creativity; always moving; deep and powerful; cleansing.

obvious water-related jobs would be:
• fisherman
• fish rearing
• mineral water bottling
• soft drink industry
• marine biology
• scuba divers
Yang Wood (water fall) and Yin Wood (mist)

water is moving constantly and mobile, Water career:
• trishaw driver
• taxis driver
• tourism
• transportation
• courier services
• haulage

Leveraging the cleansing aspect :
• laundry
• dry cleaning
• maid and cleaning services
• cars cleaners • home maids

Jobs that involve strategic planning, analysis, creativity, innovation and brain power are also Water-based. As usual, it is important to note that in this day and age, most jobs are no longer limited to just one element or another, and instead comprise a mixture of two or more elements

What is the Salt Water Feng Shui Cure?

https://www.knowfengshui.com/the-feng-shui-salt-water-cure/

The role of the salt water cure is to neutralize a specific quality of energy brought by specific negative stars, or feng shui energies. To achieve this effect, the salt water cure is usually applied in combination with several Metal element feng shui cures because the energies of these challenging stars are considerably weakened or even destroyed by the power of the Metal element. This happens because these negative feng shui stars — star 2, star 3, and star 5 — belong to a feng shui element that is weaker than the Metal element (star 2 and star 5 are of the Earth element, while star 3 is of the Wood element)

Most popular feng shui Metal element cures used in addition to the salt water cure are the 6 hollow metal rod wind chime, a metal Wu Lou (Chinese gourd), as well as bells and bowls made of metal. The salt water cure itself has a strong Metal element in it as represented by the six Chinese coins. The use of number six in the six hollow rods wind chime, as well as the six Chinese coins in the salt water cure, strengthens the power of the Metal element because in feng shui, six is considered to be a number with a strong Metal element essence.

What is Alchemy? A Spiritualized Chemistry For Transformation |

https://www.gaia.com/article/what-is-alchemy-a-spiritualized-chemistry-for-transformation

All of life is interconnected. Our minds are the galaxies, our fingers and toes are the planets, and our organs are the stars that bring us light and life. We are each an embodiment of the universe, and therefore have the power to improve our lives, conditions, and environments at every turn.

We achieve these things through prayer and meditation, healing and nutritional remedies, and clear and intentional activities. These are the premises behind esoteric or spiritual alchemy, as distinct from those seeking to make gold, known as exoteric, the obsolete branch of alchemy.

Before Chemistry, Islam, and Christianity, there was Alchemy, a system of pre-science assumptions, beliefs, elixirs, processes, and traditions that purported to heal the sick, transform personal relationships, remove mental afflictions, turn metals into gold, change the dynamics of political power, grow allegiances, open hearts, co-create miracles, and even kill. Alchemy was a catch-all for how to gain control of life and its many foes and challenges.

Originally based on what are now widely considered to be disproven scientific principles, the whole of alchemy remains a beautifully woven fabric of fascinating, illuminating, and transformative ideas derived from magic, physics, mythology, art, astrology, and a variety of religions.

How to Find Your Home’s Feng Shui Facing Direction

fengshuinexus.com/feng-shui-home/how-to-find-home-feng-shui-facing-direction/

Here are several ways to find out the facing direction of a house.

Find out where the most Yang side of the house is (based on the Yin Yang Theory). The Yang side is usually the side that’s most “active”. Meaning, it’s the side where the road is and where most movement occurs. It’s also the side that can gather the most sunlight and Qi energy.

Using the above method should suffice. If not, you can use these other methods as cross reference.

Find out where the backyard is. As the name implies, the backyard should be situated at the back, or the “sitting” direction. The same concept applies for the front yard.

Check the house’s design and orientation. Which side is made to greet guests?

Imagine the house as a person. Which side would be the “face” of the house? Which side would be it’s back?

If your house is the standard conventional type, the above four steps should all produce the same result. If your house has a modern artistic design, then the facing direction can be tricky to find.

One method is to use the apartment door as the facing direction. After all, the front door is the mouth of the house that gathers Qi, isn’t it?

Another method is to use the facing of the entire building as the facing direction. The reasoning for this is that all units are under one roof, and they should all share a single facing direction based on the building.

“The Doorway Effect”: How Doorways Affect Your Brain The Moment You Walk Through Them

www.wofs.com/the-doorway-effect-how-doorways-affect-your-brain-the-moment-you-walk-through-them/

The results of Radvansky’s research has striking parallels with what Feng Shui practitioners have intuitively known about the science of space for centuries, that doorways have a profound effect on our mind and our behaviours! Feng Shui compass methods reveal detailed insights about how energy changes its nature from room to room, and these effects are triggered as soon as we walk through doorways. This is why the practice of Feng Shui places such a lot of emphasis in the directional arrangement of doorways within a home. Getting this right is vital for channelling, shaping and creating good energy in a home!

Staircase Feng Shui Rules Do’s and Don’ts

fengshuibeginner.com/staircase-feng-shui-tips

1. Solid and sturdy material like wood, metal or concrete should be used for making stairs.

2. The staircase should be brightly lit (this is also for safety purpose)

3. Avoid having staircase facing directly towards the main door because it will divert all the energy flow towards the other levels of the house which in term deprive the main floor of the house of its chi.

As a remedy, you can considered placing nice plants on the sides that will help to minimize the chi that is flowing away from the main level. Alternatively, you can consider placing a divider screen or partition to block the view of stairs directly facing the main door.

4. Do not have any staircase at the center of a home because it symbolise a heavy burden at the heart so it is considered a bad feng shui. It is best to be located at the side of the house.

5. Avoid having a spiral staircase, because wherever is it positioned, it is being visualised like a corkscrew drilling down and it will negatively impact the person/health the sector belongs too, for example, if it is positioned in the Northwest, it will affect the Father of the family and so on.

6. It is not advisable to have the door of an upstairs room directly in line with the top or bottom of the stairs

7. Avoid having mirror facing the stairs at the top or bottom

8. Do not position your kitchen, bedroom, dining room or bathroom under the staircase.

9. Do not have your stairs carpeted with red as it is believed to bring bad luck and misfortune.

10. Avoid placing any water features or god altar below your staircase. This situation can build negative energy and have impact on the health, wealth and relationships of the household.

11. Shape does matter – A better choice of staircase is the gentle curved shape type that can helps to promote the energy flowing up to the higher level of the house gradually, instead of gushing in.

12. Make sure that the staircase should be wide enough and have enough space for at least 2 people to pass each other easily. Have you ever encountered those stairs that are so cramped that you are squeezed to the corner when travelling up? That give you a sense of safety and also feel uncomfortable.

13. In the modern home design, the railing is purposely omitted but don’t you agreed that railings give you a sense of security and safety when climbing up and down stairs? So in staircase Feng Shui, it is a better choice with the railing installed.

14. According to some feng shui practice, the number of stairs on a staircase should be an odd number.

http://www.zhycw.com/art/n335c6.aspx
