Xuan Kong Flying Star (XKFS) is one of the discipline in Feng Shui application. It is the integration of the principle of Yin and Yang; alignment of 3-Yuan dragons, the interactions between the 5 elements, the understanding of the 8 trigrams, analysis of 9 palaces and the application of the 24 Mountains. XKFS particularly deals with the ‘Time’ aspect of Feng Shui.
‘Time’ aspect is divided into 20-Year cycles. Each cycle of 20 years is a Period (运). A grand cycle comprises 9 Periods in total, which covers a span of 180 years. As the period (运) changes, the energy of each star changes. A timely star is deem as ‘In-the-Period’ and it holds positive energy for the household whereas an untimely star deem as ‘Out-of-Period’ and conveys negative energy for the household.
As we are in Period-9, Star 8 would be deem as ‘Out-of-Period’ (the further we move into period 9, the further the decay in Star 8’s energy) and Star 7 would be regarded as inauspicious; the negative aspects of Star 7 (i.e Respiratory Health, Theft, Gossips, Backstabbing and Flirting) would arise.
For Northeast-1 facing property (未山丑向) commenced in period 8, now moving into period 9, it is recommend to tap onto or activate, Northwest (戌) and West (庚) using the timely stars to revitalize the Qi; thru’ the use of Air Revitalizer, Diffuser, Incense, Candles, Chants, Crystals, Sound, Light, Movement and Water Placement.
Incidentally, a Northeast-1 facing property also has a combination of 10 feature. If the property layout is overall squarish (i.e. without missing corners), generally, the negative aspect of energy is subdue giving the resident(s) more time and effect to work on the positive energy.

Received a number of queries on the same nature; regarding the choice of apartments (i.e. HDB and Condominiums) and how to select. Hence, decided spend a couple of minutes to table it down – For other Querent to self help.
The idea or point of reference behind this method is main door. So, Querent do not need to bother about facing and sitting of the apartment.
For example, if the main door is opens in the North sector of the house, the choice of Living Room / Kitchen / Master Bedroom ideally should be in Southeast, South or East.
It might have be due to space constraints or developer profit maximization intentions; realistically (from experience), based on the floorplan I’ve seen thus far, it rare to have all 3 sectors in compliance; 2 out of 3 is already optimal for Qi to connect. While some floorplan or set up may have to settle for 1 out of 3 (and apply other methodology to tap on the auspicious Qi).
Append below is the table, hope it helps home owners in their selection at no cost.
| Door | Living Room | Master Bedroom | Kitchen |
| North | Southeast | South | East |
| Northeast | Southwest | West | Northwest |
| East | South | Southeast | North |
| Southeast | North | East | South |
| South | East | North | Southeast |
| Southwest | Northeast | Northwest | West |
| West | Northwest | Northeast | Southwest |
| Northwest | West | Southwest | Northeast |
Also, taking reference from the Main Door, these other 4 sectors (ideally) should not have externalities (i.e. dumps, boulders, construction works, dumps and sewages). Having these externalities in these sectors could trigger negative impact to health, relationship and wealth when activated by actions and/ or timing.

Close Day (閉) is a phrase where energy is at halt (i.e Qi is unmoving); or at the lowest point. This is similar to the decay phrase in 12 cycle of energy. This phrase is rarely use when it comes to activities (especially, when its a Close Day + FuYin Chart + Clash User’s Year / Day Pillar).
Close Day (閉) (generally) is never use on business establishment, business opening, house warming, baby showers, marriage or undertaking of projects.
Close Day (閉) (however), can be use to end a chapter of life events, such as ending of marriage and relationship, closure of business or resigning from a role/ job.

The idea behind the 12 Day Officers Method of Date Selection lies in the use of Qi that best matches the activity.

Open Day (開) is excellent for any activity (i.e. open house, commencement of office, business opening or commencement of work). Typically and traditionally, townsfolks uses Open Day to start work after Chinese New Year.
Open Day (開) is also use for starting a new job, starting a new course, assume a new role, signing of business agreement, marriage proposal, engagement and ceremony.
Open Day (開) are never use for burial and groundbreaking.

Start at the front door of the home and light your smudge stick. Then, begin to move around the home. Move mindfully and with care, walking clockwise around the entire perimeter of the home. Be sure to allow the smoke to drift into even the hidden spaces, like inside closets, basements and dark corners. If there are stairs, just go up or down when you encounter them. Then keep moving clockwise until you meet the stairs again. Then continue to go down or up the stairs and resume the main floor.
Moving around a space like this is called “circumambulation”. It’s a practice that’s been done for centuries in ancient cultures to make a space more sacred. And, if it feels okay to you, it’s helpful to chant a mantra or a prayer that you’re connected to. I use the Tibetan Buddhist mantra “Om mani padme hum”, the mantra of compassion. This is a way to fill the space with more cleansing vibrations.

Receive Day (收) is often use to receive or attain something, usually rewards but sometimes – Debt. It is the day to use if we have to ask for something (i.e. Debt) and get expect to get the reward in return.
Receive Day (收) can be use to start school, start job, commence a course, close a deal, ask for a raise, marriage proposal and betrothal gifts (过大礼).
Receive Day (收) must avoid attending funerals, burial or seek medical treatment because when we use this day for these activity, we are asking heaven to give us more of it in return.

Quantum Entanglement is a quantum mechanics phenomenon by which the states of two or more objects referencing each other, even though the individual objects are in different location.
In the Twin-Photon Experiment, is shows that matter are connected and that connection still exist thru’ the passage of time.
So, if we apply this in Feng Shui, wouldn’t this science resonate or linked the importance of Yin Feng Shui, the altar of the Deceased or the location of the Urn in the Columbarium. Because, where the “matter” (Deceased) is at or residing, is receiving the vibration of that environment; and the other “matter” (Descendants) that is far away would feel the vibes because of Quantum Entanglement. And at an energetic level, the impact could be almost immediate because the result of the Twin-Photon Experiment has show us that “matter” bypasses space and time.
Looks like Feng Shui could be more of a Quantum Science than an Folk-Art afterall.

Success Day (成) is the most auspicious and positive day of this system. On Success Days, the energies are positive (of course, the practitioner need to take note other date selection aspects such as year clash and month breaker etc).
Success Day (成) are suitable for all activities that require positive starts and positive outcomes. Accordingly, it is good to use a Success Day to get married (as well as marriage proposal), submit a business proposal, seek medical treatment, begin construction of a property, move into a new house and for burial (i.e. to activate the positive Feng Shui aspects for the descendants). FYI, in Burial there are 2 aspects: 凶藏 vs 吉藏).
Success Day (成) however, are not suitable for commencing legal matters (i.e. law suit), payment of fines, money lending or being a creditor or guarantor. Basically, the key is positive energy use for positive activity.
