Initiate Day (執), comes from the word 执行 (Zhí Xíng) meaning to implement, to carry out, to execute. This day is commonly use by practitioners for commencing or beginning something. Initiate Day is a good for accepting work engagements or assignments, signing agreements or to start up a new project / endeavor.
Initiate Day (執) can also be use for business opening, to renovate your house or commence groundbreaking. On a different light, Initiate Day should avoid activities such as moving into a new house and travelling.
As the energy for Initiate Day (執) is merely above average, in the absence of other good dates, then only Initiate Day is consider usable or okay. The practitioner must consider other date selection theory/ models to compliment if Initiate Day needs to be use.
Stable Day (定), is often use in Feng Shui placement or activation or undertake activities that have a long-term aspect to them; and/or for activities that user want to infuse with lasting effect or longevity. Keyword for this energy is perpetuity.
Stable Day (定) is a good day for official openings or commencement of construction. It can be use for moving into a new house, hiring, buying a pet, getting married, house-warmings and seeking medical treatment (i.e. cure is permanent and intended to be lasting). Typically, Stable Days are not use for funerals, burials and travelling.
Stable Day (定) energy indicates perpetuity, commencing something for the long run or long-term and in modern days, users don’t want to be tied down or stuck role or in a company. And, in projects and task, users aims to get it over and done with quickly and move on to the next opportunity instead of dragging on perpetually. Therefore, if its a relationship, a task or a role with little intention to stay for long term, avoid using Stable Day to start off.
Balance Day (平), in traditional text is classified as a negative day. This is because since the day only produces a balanced outcome (as opposed to a superior or advantageous outcome), it is seen as not a useful day to choose since the point of Date Selection is to tilt the balance in the user favour. This is a short-sighted view, as date selection is about using the energies of the day for the right activity rather than simply fixated on gaining the superiority of the day. A win-win outcome in modern context enables the building of long term relationship.
Balance Day (平) is excellent to be use for activities where the user are in a less powerful position because this will help balance up the power situation or the odds for you.
Balance Day (平) is a good day for marriage, construction, travelling and negotiations or business communications.
Balance Day (平) are generally not use to commence a legal action, as it represent a prolonged lawsuit and produce an outcome that is fair and not one that favours the user. Likewise, Balance Day (平) are also not recommended for activities that involve distribution of wealth (i.e. contesting a will or division of assets). Balance Day (平) are also not use for burial.
The Full Day (滿) represent ‘much’ of something or bountiful amounts of returns. This is good for signing agreements and business openings. This is a particularly good day to tap into the multiplier effect of the Full Day.
On a personal note, Full Day (滿) can be use for a house-warming party / baby-shower or installing a new device or new equipment in the house or office.
For Debt-Collectors, Full Day (滿) represent to be able to collect the sum ‘In-Full’. Also, in the olden days, folklore suggest the use of Full Day for marriage. Because, this signified more than one wife and in those times, and was considered good fortune (i.e. the more wives a man had, the richer he was). But, not very wise to adopt in today’s context.
In ancient china where superstitious or mythical culture manifest, Removal or Remove Day (除) is usually used for cleansing activities or to rid ‘something’ from the premises or used (on person) for spiritual practice and removal of bad karma.
In the modern days, a Removal or Remove Day (除) is a good day to use to End-Off a negative relationship or projects, but can also be used to start going on a diet.
In the aspect of health, Removal or Remove Day (除) are also good days to undergo medical procedures that involve removing something from your body.
In aspect of Feng Shui, Removal or Remove Day (除) are use to start demolition work and repair work on house/ apartment. It is also a good day for businesses to use to clear old or unwanted stock (i.e. clearance sale, mid year sale etc).

In ancient china, Establish Day (建日) was the date the Emperor would pray to Heaven and Deities for a good harvest. In modern context, an Establish Day is suitable for getting engaged or marriage proposal, starting a new job or assuming a new role/ position at work, business transactions or dealings, or negotiations.
The Qi for this day also mean Starting-Off or Beginning. It is suitable for seeking medical treatment, commencing a major trip or travel plans, or to commence a new course or start school. It is also a good day for starting construction works (but not to be use for demolition / groundbreaking). Traditonally, Commencement / Establish Day is also generally not a good day to attend funerals or for burial. Especially, inauspicious if one’s year pillar or day pillar is in disharmony or clashed.
In the course of learning and reading BaZi, most of the practitioner would come across this topic of pregnancy, abortion and miscarriage. The Querent would also be keen to know what Bazi combinations will indicate a higher tendency for abortion or miscarriage during a consultation.
In a positive light, the Querent want to know what is the probability of them having a miscarriage so that they can be better prepared and avoid such a situation / outcome.
This is a valid concern for them as miscarriage can be a very painful and traumatic experience. Depending on which side of the coin you flip, some would fall back on studies like ‘The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) estimates it is the most common form of pregnancy loss. It is estimated that as many as 26% of all pregnancies end in miscarriage and up to 10% of clinically recognized pregnancies ~ 29 Jan 2021’ to aid the patient move into acceptance and recovery.
From a BaZi perspective, it is rather rare to have a combination which give a 70% sure that abortion or miscarriage would happen. At best, it would be highlighted as a risk point. At this juncture, we need to separate it into Intentional or Accidental.
Regardless, intentional or accidental so long as life is loss, one needs to make an effort as do Deliverance Ritual for the Unborn Child. Needlessly to spell it out, for those who have gone thru’ this traumatic chapter would understand the spiritual entanglement and the negative luck it brings (and the impact to the overall well-being of household members).
Below are some key BaZi/ Feng Shui points based in past experiences.
1. Accidental miscarriage, the chart would likely indicate a risk of accident. Likely caused by Grand Duke, Month General or Day Officer. 2. Intentional abortion, the chart would have a natal punishment frame already in place, and it frequently being activated by the house Feng Shui. 3. A chart that is extremely heated or chilled has the risk of miscarriages. 4. A chart which hour pillar, Eating God or Hurting Officer (伤官食神) is in emptiness void has the risk of miscarriages or low affinity with children (i.e inability to conceive). 5. A chart which has the natal formation of ‘Condor Grabbing Food’ or ‘Hurting Officer Meets Authority’ is also a indicator of the risk of miscarriages or low affinity with children. 6. Hurting Officer or Eating God is in Sick/ Tomb/ Decay phrase. 7. Day Master is exceptionally weak. In rating method of BaZi, represent approx 10% of the entire chart. This usually indicate poorer health and constitution or less constructive lifestyle or nutritional habits. 8. Construction and Renovation (creates noise and irregular vibration) in the house during the various stages of Prenatal Development. 9. Life Gua of the baby and mummy are hit by externalities (i.e. Flying Stars, Poison Arrows, Changes to the Landform).
Lastly for ‘those’ Master involved in Date Selection for C-Section, beside choosing a good date for the baby; also be mindful to check that it doesn’t clashes, harm or pierce the BaZi chart of the Mummy. Because as a Metaphysician, I believe that by virtue of giving a date to the family, the practitioner is giving away his/ her blessing away to help the family and baby. The Karmic entanglement might be worth more than the monies earned from this activity.
Since, the Universe blessed us (The Practitioner / Master / Gurus / Enthusiast) with this piece of Metaphysics Knowledge and Skills, it is only right to return Universe the favour and also our duty to ‘Live in Service’ for those who need help in this aspect (keeping in mind and heart, the 3 Precepts.
“3 Precepts” When there is no Affinity, I’ll pass. When it’s against Conscience, I’ll pass. When it affects others’ Feng Shui, I’ll pass.
Grand Duke / Tai Sui (太歲) or some text call it 歲星 (sometimes called Grand Duke Jupiter). This is the main controller for the year or the governing energy force for the year.
Opposite the Tai Sui or Grand Duke of the year is what is known as the Year Breaker 歲破 (Sui Po). For example: Ox Year (丑年), so opposite Goat (未日), this is deem as the Year Breaker Dates. In this example, the energies are not supportive / complimentary but are oppositional. As such, there is a lot of tension in breaker dates; the situation appears difficult and feels uneasy or antagonistic nature.
If this dates have to be use, the user should expect headwinds, challenges, and minor problems surrounding the event or rework regarding a project. Year Breaker Dates are rarely use for commencement of renovation, weddings and Feng Shui Assessment/ Audit.
In market practice, it is not uncommon that Feng Shui Masters and Practitioners adopt the use of Month Breaker Dates (月破) as well. Because of the proximity between the Month to the Day vs Year to the Day, the energy vibration in Month Breaker is much stronger/ higher but shorter in tenure/ duration. Therefore, the negative impact (when use) is strong and sudden but seldom long-lasting.
This give an image of Duke / Governor ( 太歲 ) who rules the city and set the policies while the General / Officials (月将) are the administrators who run the rules and polices the crooks.
In Date Selection, there is a concept derive from QiMen (奇门) called “五不遇时”. Nothing special, this is basically the 7 Killing of Bazi (八字). Even if there is auspicious stars (吉星) or combination, this hour nulls all the positive effects and could even brings inauspicious energy (凶星).
Today is Li Chun (立春), also known as Start of Spring (三阳开泰). With COVID-19 in the background, this article is not to discourage people who are joining the queue to “deposit” money. Conversely, agrees to the practices; because the thought of depositing money to gain more wealth is also a form of manifestation.
For folks who does not have a lot of available cashflow on hand, a more sensible thing to do is cleaning the house and remove clutters. Having more space and area to receive the Yang Qi (阳气). As you are clearing and removing those clutters, do play some music in the background (i.e chants or hymns); sounds are a form of vibration, fill up these spaces with positive vibration, as positive attracts positive (物以类聚) so more positive energy will come in and reside in the house.
Lets’ start off by clearing these sectors (these are for the month of February 2021): • Northwest Sector (开门, Star 6) • North Sector (休门, Star 1) • Northeast Sector (生门, Star 8) • South Sector (景门, Star 9)
Besides depositing money as a form of wealth manifestation and clearing clutters to receive Qi (气), we can also engage in alms giving activities, charity, small acts of good deed, little thoughts of kindness and gratitude; or even as simple as offer out a prayer for “the Least, the Lost, and the Last” of our society.
The Start of Spring (三阳开泰) or Tai Gua (泰卦) denotes 3 Yang Yao (阳爻) coming up and seeking balance and harmony with the 3 Yin Yao (阴爻).
Earth-HeavenTai Gua (地天泰卦), with 3 Yang Yao (阳爻) and 3 Yin Yao (阴爻) denotes that the situation has matured and that stability and security have been found. This Gua (卦) sees a Qian (乾) Trigram below and an Kun (坤) Trigram above, trying to exchange places.
The Yang (阳) remains at the core internal of this Gua (卦) while the external influence is Yin (阴). This structure indicates that although there is strength and determination at the heart of a person, the communication and presentation is soft, gentle and yielding.
This is an auspicious Gua (卦) because aggression has receded and giving way to harmony, kindness and gentleness.
Tai Gua (泰卦) also represent equality, an indication of positive relationships, both at home and in the workplace. There is a harmony between individuals, conflicts and disagreements are a thing of the past. Leaders and workers are in accord and family members live in an environment of warmth and trust. Inspiring Success in both personal and professional growth requires ongoing effort to be maintained and should not be taken for granted.

Winter Solstice Celebration (冬節, 冬至 or とぅんじ) is one of the most important Chinese and East Asian festivals celebrated by the Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, and Vietnamese during the solar term or solar cycle.
In wiccian practices, this is called Yule. This is the longest night of the year. Following that is the sun’s “rebirth” and lengthening of days. Yule is celebrated as the rebirth of the Great God, who is viewed as the newborn solstice sun. In some traddition, Yule is considered to be the beginning of the new year.
In Chinese, the origins of this festival can be traced back to the Yin and Yang philosophy of balance and harmony in the cosmos.
After this festive celebration, the days will begin with longer daylight hours. Hence, is seen as an increase in positive energy flowing in. This philosophical significance of this is symbolized by the I Ching hexagram “Returning” (復) :冬至一阳生.
This is the cut off point in various Feng Shui (風水) Practices and QMDJ (奇門遁甲) Divination. i.e. 5 Yellow (二黑), 2 Black (五黃), 7 Red (七赤), Yin Dun (陰遁), Yang Dun (陽遁).
In iChing (周易) “Returning” hexagram represent a turning point recharges people and eventually brings success. This hexagram is associated with the turning of darkness back towards light. This is a time for letting go of the old and making way for the new; a time of new beginnings.
A new momentum in the beginning is alike the conception of baby. Mummy knows, but she doesn’t talks about it until some visits to the gynaecologist. Because, it needs to be as subtle as possible, the energy or life force is forming, accumulating, recharging and growing. This principle of hibernation means allowing energy to renew itself and be strengthened by rest; and it applies to many situations: recuperation after an illness, the slow return of trust after a period of estrangement, the careful development of new relationships after the splitting apart of old ones.
Health and lifestyle wise, this means, limiting strenuous activities such as vigorous exercise in favor of more gentle and nourishing spiritual and physical activities such as yoga, tai chi, stroll, walks and meditation.
Resting earlier and sleep in a little later is important to help preserve their Qi (氣) for the more active time of year- spring and summer. Yang is also preserved by keeping warm.
This Winter Solstice is a significant one because the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter (https://xkfs.art/2019/06/27/period-9/). So, if your apartment or property is Ox (丑) Goat (未) – sitting (坐) facing (向). This is one of the best time to do space cleansing and recharge your apartment or property energy. Because, house Qi (氣) gets depleted as resident stays in it.
Slower down your pace and take this season to view this rare conjunction. Even if you cannot view the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter, take this December opportunity to spot the “3 Wise Man” in the constellation of Orion, or Sirius is the brightest star (approx 8.61 light years, coincidentally 1, 6, 8 are 3 good number to use in Feng Shui) in the night sky in the constellation Canis Majoris. What were the “3 Wise Man” seeking near the time of Christmas and what is the representation of the brightest star in the night sky.
A glass of wine in hand, with love and gratitude, I, hereby give a toast for the people who have help me in action, in words, in prayer and in thoughts. This pour is for you, because you were presence, my 2020 was awesome.
I wish everyone Merry Christmas and a Happier New Year.
