節卦 (Moderation Gua) came from the word 节制 – Jié Zhì meaning to control, restrict, administer.
節卦 (Moderation Gua) is made up of an upper Kan (坎) Trigram on a lower Dui (兌) Trigram. This give an image of excessive water over the marsh / wetlands. The marsh / wetlands now become waterlogged, this flooding ruin the delicate ecosystem, causing plants and animals to die or flee. There is a call for a degree of control, but it needs to be administered with high level of sensitivity.
節卦 (Moderation Gua) reminds us the importance to avoid extreme behaviours (i.e. overeating, oversleeping, exhaustion or emotions and bias).
節卦 (Moderation Gua) elements (五行) belongs to Fire (火); if the facing / sitting / door of the house or apartment is this Gua (卦), it is suitable for resident with annual pillar Metal Rabbit (辛卯), Water Rabbit (癸卯), Wood Snake (乙巳), Fire Snake (丁巳).
