鼎卦 Cauldron Gua) is formed by an an upper Li (離) Trigram above a lower Xun (巽) Trigram. In Gé 革 Gua speaks of reform, the Dǐng 鼎 Gua speaks of renewal and re-energise.
鼎卦 Cauldron Gua) is a feminine, beautiful and auspicious gua. A closer look at 3rd, 4th and 5th yao (爻), we would notice Dui (兌) Trigram. In ancient China, 鼎 or The Cauldron would be used (not just) to serve and prepare food but also to make offerings to the Deity (which could be seen in the hidden Qian (乾) Trigram at 2nd, 3rd and 4th yao (爻).
