60 JiaZi TaiSui (六十甲子太岁): A different perspective regarding Grand Duke of Jupiter

The 60 JiaZi (甲子) is one of the earliest and ingenious invention of the Chinese Culture. Its purpose is to record years, months, days and hours. And in the course of civilization, these 60 JiaZi (甲子) took on a beautiful spiritual veil known as TaiSui (太岁).

TaiSui (太岁) is a God enshrined by the people, and according to folklore everyone is guarded or protected by their own TaiSui (typically based on birth year). There is also another metaphor known as 12 deity of TaiSui ( 太岁十二神).

Instead of using the annual TaiSui (太岁) to check if a particular zodiac has energy clashes and harms. Why not, use our day pillar (日主) to check the 60 JiaZi (甲子) and see which TaiSui (太岁) we are in sync with or who is “looking after” us. Google these TaiSui (太岁), read up and understand their history, what are their strengths, virtues and characters attributes which we could adopt and incorporate into our daily lives.

Expand this metaphor a little further using all 4 pillars, we might have 4 different mode of TaiSui (太岁) to learn from with regards to each aspect of our environment. It could be well ranges from righteousness to humility. Instead of praying to TaiSui (太岁), perhaps its time we start learning from TaiSui (太岁). Let’s enjoy this little exploration.

1, Year embodies externalities, government, authority, social relationship, superiors, bosses, grandparents, uncle’s, aunties, in-laws and parents.
2, Month encapsulate work environment, colleagues, peers, friends and siblings relationship.s
3, Day focus on family environment, spouse relationship. It also includes self as well as personal values.
4,Hours deals with personal aspirations, dreams hopes and fear. It also encompasses offsprings and children relationship or matters.

The Start of Spring (三阳开泰)

Today is Li Chun (立春), also known as Start of Spring (三阳开泰). With COVID-19 in the background, this article is not to discourage people who are joining the queue to “deposit” money. Conversely, agrees to the practices; because the thought of depositing money to gain more wealth is also a form of manifestation.

For folks who does not have a lot of available cashflow on hand, a more sensible thing to do is cleaning the house and remove clutters. Having more space and area to receive the Yang Qi (阳气). As you are clearing and removing those clutters, do play some music in the background (i.e chants or hymns); sounds are a form of vibration, fill up these spaces with positive vibration, as positive attracts positive (物以类聚) so more positive energy will come in and reside in the house.

Lets’ start off by clearing these sectors (these are for the month of February 2021):
• Northwest Sector (开门, Star 6)
• North Sector (休门, Star 1)
• Northeast Sector (生门, Star 8)
• South Sector (景门, Star 9)

Besides depositing money as a form of wealth manifestation and clearing clutters to receive Qi (气), we can also engage in alms giving activities, charity, small acts of good deed, little thoughts of kindness and gratitude; or even as simple as offer out a prayer for “the Least, the Lost, and the Last” of our society.

Metaphysics (易学)

Oneness with all that is, a journey that never was.

For those in my generation, you would perhap have watched The Truman Show (Jim Carrey, 1998). Some 20 years later, reflecting on this movie. The Truman Show can perhaps inspire us towards spiritual awakening and be a seeker of truth.

Just like Truman’s existence in the movie set, our human existence could also have been made up. Perhaps, our creator up there is watching us like a drama. Or, our existence are merely tools or characters in a game simulation with higher concentration of quantum particles that contains human consciousness called soul; trying to overcome the programs in order to develop some possible solution for the creator outside the simulation.

As we overcome “The World” and our Oneness is restored, the ego is forgotten. It is as if it never existed, because in Truth it never did, right along with “The World”, Oneness with all that is, a journey that never was.
