大過卦 (Excessive Gua) represents two Yin Yao (阴爻) encasing four Yang Yao(阳爻). This appearance is created by uniting a lower Xun 巽 Trigram with an upper Dui 兌 Trigram. If we read 2nd, 3rd, 4th Yao (第二，三，四爻) it represent a Qian (乾), if we read 3rd, 4th, 5th Yao (第三，四，五爻) it also represent Qian (乾). This encapsulate Chinese Philosophy of external being soft, internal being hard (外柔内缸). It is also known as the ‘Great Exceeding’.
大過卦 (Excessive Gua) means, an individual may seem far stronger than he or she may at first appear and whose powerful inner core value is disguised by a soft and gentle exterior. In day to day work life, this represent methodology and skills are ever changing and adaptive but the mind is fixated to a certain set of core value.
