剝卦 (Peel Gua) also known as ‘Splitting Apart’ and it is thought to represent an emperor or a once mighty leader whose actions are being stifled and limited by the corrupt politicians that surround him, eroding his power and potentially leaving him in a weakened position. “九五至尊不在第五爻，被逼到了上六爻 – 悬崖勒马”.

If we imagine the Emperor like a fruit, his closest advisers and officials should be like the tough skin surrounding that fruit. They should be there to protect and support him. When skin decays or is peeled away, the soft flesh (Emperor) will be exposed and leaving a gap in his defenses.
