6 Paths of Destiny (命理六法)

1、布施 – Dāna is a Sanskrit and Pali word that connotes the virtue of generosity, charity or giving of alms in Indian philosophies.
2、持戒 – Keeping to the Precepts, in our daily interactions, let us always be vigilant of our thoughts. Let us be mindful in upholding precepts so we can be pure in body and mind.
3、忍辱 – Forbearance and Tolerance, to be steady in one’s practice in the face of difficulty and temptation, especially bearing insult and distress without resentment.
4、精进 – Diligence as an attitude of gladly engaging in wholesome activities, and it functions to cause one to accomplish wholesome or virtuous actions.
5、禅定 – Meditation / Contemplation
6、般若 – Prajñā is often translated as “Wisdom”. “Wisdom” in realizing or perceiving the true nature of reality; seeing things as they are, not as they appear. This wisdom is not bound by conceptual knowledge. It must be intimately experienced to be understood. Prajñā also is sometimes translated as “consciousness,” “insight” or “discernment” – Doing good, you have Prajñā hands. Seeing with compassion, you have Prajñā eyes. Praising others, you have Prajñā tongue. Embracing the multitude in your thought, you have Prajñā mind
