Read the following from a book, I felt the analysis by author is one sided. Hence, added my commentary.

Day Master is weak, Resource is strong = high education level, the stronger the Resource elements the higher the education level. (My Commentary: Strong Resource but different Yin Yang relationship, there a good chance of laziness)

Day Master is weak, Resource is weak = low education level, the weaker the Resource, the lower the education level. (My Commentary: Not necessarily, Luck Cycle play a major part as well as Feng Shui could assist to enhance Academic Stars)

Day Master is strong, Resource is strong = low education level, the stronger the Resource, the lower the education level. (My Commentary: Not necessarily, if the chart has nice Eating God and/or Hurting Officer. He or She could be rather learned)

Day Master is strong, Resource is weak = high education level, the weaker the Resource, the higher the education level. (My Commentary: Yes, if the chart has Eating God and/or Hurting Officer. Or totally zero resource couple with a nice Authority Pillar)

You are average of your top 5 friends. In Chinese Metaphysics, while it would be important to surround oneself with people with positive energy and vibes. Likewise, some folks are naturally endow with negative ones.

“Follow the bees we end up with honey,

Therefore, in BaZi 10 God (十神) structure, we need to be mindful whether Friend (比肩) and Rob-Wealth (劫財) stars in the chart triggers a positive influence or a negative vibes. And, in 8 Mansion (八宅), whether we see others as positive or negative also depends on the sectors such as longevity (延年) as well as Yin Yang (陰陽).

Just as, Rob-Wealth (劫財) can be positive influence. Friend (比肩) can give off a negative vibes. Some knowledge of face reading can help one size things up a little.

Friend (比肩) and Rob-Wealth (劫財) stars in the chart are regarded as similar element (同五行). General rule of thumb, the optimal number to have is approx 2 Characters in a 10 Characters analysis (See: 8 Characters or 10 Characters, Balanced or Harmony – 8文字または10文字、バランスまたはハーモニー8)

Numerology Representation – 1, 2 (Wood 木), 3, 4 (Fire 火), 5, 6 (Earth 土), 7 ,8 (Metal 金), 9, 0 (Water 水). Odd Number (Yang), Even Number (Yin). If the number of stroke is 27 (omit 2 and use 7 as 金), if 30 (omit 3 and use 0 as 水).

This method of name selection splits the analysis into 5 Grid 五格 (Heaven 天格, Man 人格, Earth 地格, External 外格 and Total 总格)

There are 4 main permutations:
Double Surname with Double Name,
Double Surname with Single Name,
Single Surname with Single Name
Single Surname with Double Name.

Heaven Grid (天格)
Double Surname with Double Name: add the strokes for both surname.
Double Surname with Single Name: add the strokes for both surname.
Single Surname with Single Name: add the stroke for surname +1
Single Surname with Double Name: add the stroke for surname +1

Man (Human) Grid (人格)
Double Surname with Double Name: add the stroke for both surname and first name.
Double Surname with Single Name: add the stroke for both surname and first name.
Single Surname with Single Name: add the stroke for surname and first name.
Single Surname with Double Name: add the stroke for surname and first name.

Earth Grid (地格)
Double Surname with Double Name: add the stroke of both name
Double Surname with Single Name: add the stroke of name +1
Single Surname with Single Name: add the stroke of name +1
Single Surname with Double Name: add the stroke of both name

External Grid (外格)
Double Surname with Double Name: use the last name as external category
Double Surname with Single Name: use 1 as external category
Single Surname with Single Name: use 2 as external category
Single Surname with Double Name: use the last name +1

Total Grid (总格)
Add all (total) the stroke of all the characters in the name.

Heaven, Man (Human) and Earth Grid -> Relationship with Children, Friends, Colleagues and Subordinates, Parents and Elders.
Heaven and Man (Human) Grid -> Relates to Fortune and Career.
Man (Human) and Earth Grid -> Relates to Foundation, Learning and Property.
External and Man (Human) Grid -> Relates to Kinship and Spiritual Matters.

Direct Wealth – The Manger, Reform Nature, Reorganize, Restructuring, Take Charge and Fix-Up.

Indirect Wealth – The Inspirational Leader, Generate Ideas, Ideas are Asset, Take Actions, Vision.

Eating God – Subject Matter Expert, “The Art”, “The Experience”, Talks about Enjoyment in the Flow, Excels in Power of Focus.

Hurting Officer – “The Brand”, Showmanship and Performer, Reputation and Personal Magnetism.

Direct Authority – System Administrator, Procedure Driven, Behind the Scene, Empower Others.

7 Killing – The General, Run the Army but don’t own the army. Swift Entry Swift Execution Swift Exit, Excel under Pressure.

Indirect Resource – The Explorer, An Explorative and Discovery Mind, Make Use of Fact  Data, Information and Knowledge,

Direct Resource – The Academic, Excel in Scholarly Theory and Research, Ability to Understand the InterConnectedness of Things, Able to Build Relationship, Key to Success lies with Timing.

Rob Wealth – The Charismatic Leader, Ability to see Possibilities, Motivates, Gives Hope, Raise Morale.

The Friend – The Deal Maker, Ability to bring People and Resources Together, Power to Connect.

1、布施 – Dāna is a Sanskrit and Pali word that connotes the virtue of generosity, charity or giving of alms in Indian philosophies.
2、持戒 – Keeping to the Precepts, in our daily interactions, let us always be vigilant of our thoughts. Let us be mindful in upholding precepts so we can be pure in body and mind.
3、忍辱 – Forbearance and Tolerance, to be steady in one’s practice in the face of difficulty and temptation, especially bearing insult and distress without resentment.

6、般若 – Prajñā is often translated as “Wisdom”. “Wisdom” in realizing or perceiving the true nature of reality; seeing things as they are, not as they appear. This wisdom is not bound by conceptual knowledge. It must be intimately experienced to be understood. Prajñā also is sometimes translated as “consciousness,” “insight” or “discernment” – Doing good, you have Prajñā hands. Seeing with compassion, you have Prajñā eyes. Praising others, you have Prajñā tongue. Embracing the multitude in your thought, you have Prajñā mind
