A spell circle is a circle of space marked out by Wiccian practitioners as ritual magic, which they generally believe will contain energy and form a sacred space, or will provide them a form of magical protection, or both. It may be marked physically or visualised.
In Xuan Kong Da Gua (XKDG), there is a method of triangulation that make use of 64 hexagram. This method has some similarities of a spell circle. What it it does it it uses a 3 point activation (i.e 坤壬乙 or 艮丙辛) of a particular Qi in a XKDG ring. This enable the resident to tap on the Qi flow to enhances one’s well-being.
Here are some of the common triangulation permutation:
甲癸申，贪狼一路行；坤壬乙，巨门从头出。
子卯未，三碧禄存到；巳酉丑，禄存不需疑。
巳巽亥，尽是武曲位；艮丙辛，位位是破军。
申子辰，一例左辅星；午酉丑，九紫右弼守。
