When I started Xuan Kong Feng Shui (玄空風水), mentors as well as classics have this verse that is to understand Xuan Kong, the knowledge lies in the five elements (明玄空，只在五行中).
So, when I got closer to understand about the five elements and their interaction in BAZI, QiMen and in Feng Shui, I seek harmony instead of balance. At the same time, I saw Oneness in the five elements, Oneness with nature, Oneness in relationship and Oneness in space and time (但，我後來看到的不是五個五行，而是 “一”，萬物歸 “一”). This appreciation brought me to seek insights from the heart sutra.
The Heart Sutra can be seen as a lay person’s philosophical text where affirmation and negation both exist at the same time. Metaphysics Practitioner could related this to iChing (易經) and Yin-Yang (陰陽), Ci Xiong (雌雄) , stillness and motion (動靜) –“色不异空, 空不异色, 色即是空, 空即是色”.
The “7 Stars Robbery” in Xuan Kong Da Gua (玄空大卦) adopt the concept of “Inverted Hexagrams (綜卦)”.
For example, when a given Hexagram is read upside
down, we get this “Inverted Hexagram”. That relate to another set of Gua Qi (卦氣) and Gua Yun (卦運).
It is believe that the original Hexagram and its inverted version is one and the same Hexagram read from different (opposite) vantage points. And hence, the “Inverted Hexagram” therefore maintains a connection with the original Gua and Palace. Even though the inverted Hexagram may reside at a different Palace.
For example changing the current Gua Yun (卦運) from a period 6 to period 8. Having said that, the reverse should also be true, for example my current Gua Yun (卦運) is period 8 and accidentally activated a period 6 Gua Yun (卦運).
Note that not all Gua can be inverted. Out of the 64 Gua, there are 8 Gua in particular that are unable to be Inverted (B’cos the Gua Qi (卦氣) and Gua Yun (卦運) are of the same numbers ~ layman speaking)
The value add of “7-Stars Robbery” in Xuan Kong Da Gua (玄空大卦) lies in its ability to make good use of Hexagrams that are untimely, thru the associated connection between the Original Gua and “Inverted Hexagrams (綜卦)”.
In summary, not all the Gua Yun (卦運) can be change. A handful of the Gua (even though) can be “Inverted Hexagrams (綜卦)” they still end up with the same Gua Yun (卦運). Moreover, the Inverted Gua don’t crosses between the upper yuan (上元) and or lower yuan (下元). Hence, won’t affect the direct and/or indirect spirit.

【天遁】丙奇、生门（开门、休门）合地盘丁奇为天遁（丙+丁）。

【地遁】乙奇、开门（生门、休门）会地盘六己为地遁（乙+己）。

【人遁】丁奇、休门合太阴为人遁。
开休生合三奇，下临地盘六合者，名为「人遁」。生门与三奇临太阴，及生门、乙奇、九地宫者，亦名「人遁」。乘日禄、喜神及贵神者，主财喜、和合之事。乘朱雀者，主词讼得理。乘螣蛇者，主恶梦、邪魅之事。乘白虎者，忌行船。乘玄武者，主盗贼。若乘天辅、天柱之星，主雨；天冲主雷，天英主电。占疾病，危急。凡丁奇与休门合，下临太阴之位，得星精所蔽，其气青黑，内应于肾，外主耳目，名曰「还阳丹」。修之者，驻世长年，有事出门，呼本旬玉女，如前法咒之，其方可以择贤人、求猛将、说敌和仇，三年竝吉，又宜献策谋、结婚姻、添进人口、和合、交易利市十倍，若藏伏、献策、上书俱吉。
【神遁】丙奇、生门临九天为神遁。
开门、乙奇合天心星或天禽星，下临地盘九天于干宫，名为「神遁」。或生门、丙奇合禽、心二星，下临地盘九天宫者，亦名「神遁」。此方宜驱神遣将、施计，神必暗助，行兵宜作神将，涂抹三军，神即至矣。更宜祭祀，神必来享。若有白虎雷煞、刦煞，主雷伤。凡丙奇与生门，下临九天之位，得神灵所蔽，其方可以祭神明、用圣术、画地立筹、步罡、造坛场、刻鬼神、摄魔魅，自有威伏，更利攻虚、阴谋密计最玄妙，开路、塞河、修塑神像、裱褙神画，以候神候。
【鬼遁】丁奇、杜门（开门）临九地为鬼遁。
休门、天辅，六辛下临地盘丁奇，于艮宫者，名为鬼遁，生门、太阴下临地盘丁奇，或生门、九地，下临地盘丁奇，亦皆「鬼遁」。宜探路、侦贼处、实行间谋、布谣言，彼不能察，而疑惑军心。宅中有鬼，宜书符镇之则吉，余事不利。凡丁奇下临九地与休门合。得鬼神隐匿之蔽，其方可以探机、偷营、设伏攻虚、密伺动静、诡诈文书、荐孤、拔寡，以候鬼应。
【风遁】乙奇合开、休、生三吉门，下临巽宫为风遁。
开休生合乙奇，下临地盘六辛，落于巽宫者为「风遁」。乘天冲、天辅二星者，此方可以祭风，但不利行舟。信息至，行兵利火攻大胜。凡丙奇与开门合，下临巽宫，不犯墓迫，得灵奇顺风爽帆之蔽。又辛仪与休门，下临六乙，其方可以默吸风云、喷噀旗旐，音遥普遍，或托异遁，令众军士沉吟听音。又丙奇与开门临坤宫，更宜祷祭风伯雨师、同敌垒、立旌旗，以候风应。
【云遁】乙奇合开、休、生三吉门，临地盘六辛为云遁。
开休生合乙奇，下临六辛宫者，名为「云遁」。生门合天芮，壬临坤宫，及三吉门合六辛临于地盘乙；或天芮合生门，下临地盘九地于坤宫，亦皆名「云遁」。冬月宜祈云，夏月宜求雨。若乘白虎，主有冰雹。乘螣蛇、朱雀者，主旱。强求招火灾，行兵宜刦营，彼不能知也。凡乙奇与开门合，下临坤宫，不犯墓迫，得云之蔽。又曰：「乙奇与开门合，下临六辛，其方可以默吸风云、喷噀甲冑、音摇普遍，或托射鵰为名，令士卒仰望，更宜求雨泽、利农稼、建营寨、造军器，以候云应」。
【龙遁】乙奇合开、休、生三门，临坎一宫或加地盘六癸为龙遁。
开休生合天心星、甲辰壬、六合于坎宫为「龙遁」。或休门、乙奇加坤宫，或开门、六戊加地盘九地，及休门、丁奇，下临地盘九地于坎宫，皆名「龙遁」。此方祈雨必应，水战必胜，再得青龙、玄武、神后之神，主霪雨，仍防奸细、盗贼。凡乙奇与休门合，下临六癸，或坎宫得龙之蔽。其方可以祭龙神、祈雨泽、水战演敌、计量江面、把守河渡、教习水战、密运机谋、移舟转向、下船、开江、造置水柜、祭祷鬼神、填堤、塞河、修桥、穿井，以候龙应。休门与乙奇临六甲为龙遁。
【虎遁】乙奇合休门（生门）加地盘六辛临艮宫或庚金临开门落兑宫，都称为虎遁。
开门、甲申庚，下临地盘兑宫为「虎遁」。或休门、乙奇加地盘六辛于艮宫，或生门、辛加地盘于乙、艮宫，亦皆名「虎遁」。此方宜祭风、镇邪、驱鬼、安宅，并吉。行船宜，招安、攻险、剿巢，利为客。若安营、伏兵，贼不敢正视也。凡乙奇与生门临六辛，得虎之蔽。一云：「辛仪合生临艮，其方可以招安逆党、设伏邀击、计度要害、据险守御、建立山寨、措置关隘、防险修凿，以候虎应」。

奇门九遁少人知，秘在仙经甚奥微
丙合生门居丁上，便为天遁月光辉
乙合开门临六己，地遁日精能蔽之
丁共休门合太阴，人遁星精藉照临
丙合生门合九天，神灵所蔽有威权

乙合休门临坎水，即是蛟龙得云雨
